                                                     THE NEW B.S.E.S.
Many thanks to our Excellency Dr Kayode Fayemi, for his assent on a bill passed into law by Ekiti State house of assembly under the leadership of Rt Hon. Adewale Omirin, which eventually gave birth to the New B.S.E.S. on 3rd Feb, 2012 .This law makes provision for the establishment of B.S.E.S., Its membership power and functions as provided for by the 2012 Ekiti State law of Nigeria.
Under this new B.S.E.S the first Director General to be appointed is Barrister Sina Awelewa UNIlag product, Legal practitioner cum Broadcaster per Excellency, who has worked in different walks of life without stained record, popularly called Eleyinju Aanu by many.
The coming in of Awelewa as DG is likened to a round peg  put in a round hole. To all members of staff in B.S.E.S., His coming to B.S.E.S. is a blessing to them. Just like the name Sina means an open door to good things of life. He came in as a DG on 26th march 2013 and within a short period of time, B.S.E.S. has witnessed tremendous and positive turn- around. He was able to move the organization forward through staff welfare motivation mechanism and completion of abandoned projects including clearing of outstanding debts on BON’s Subscription fee and rating fee.
ACHIEVEMENTS
During inspection, he observed that the early morning extension crew works in a very chilled atmosphere condition in the studio. He immediately ordered that Bread and a cup of tea be provided for the morning shift transmission crew to get them warm.
There were two grounded Shift Vehicles. These we refurbished and put on the road for use. The Station Library had experienced leaking-roofing sheet, all attempt to get the contractors back to site for repairs proved abortive. He also ordered the immediate renovation of the affected areas.
Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria’s Subscription fee of two years owed by the station was cleared. Likewise the rating fee was also paid alongside the tracking machine to monitor all adverts paid for by advertising agents was installed. 3units of Air-conditioners were also installed at the TV transmitter hall. This ended the incessant off air experienced in the past on EKTV.
The Okeyinmi branch office was also renovated and has been put into use. On several occasions B.S.E.S. stories had been published in national dailies, the magic is as a result of the corporate affairs unit put into place by Awelewa’s Administration
Nobody shyes away from knowledge updates, Awelewa knows the importance of staff training and as a matter of fact, some staff have been sent on different  training and seminars just to upgrade B.S.E.S. status.
Barrister Shina Awelewa, an Ilawe Ekiti native and Eleyinju Aanu as is been referred to by B.S.E.S. staff is working day and nights to making sure that B.S.E.S. is ranked among the best in Nigeria
This is just the beginning of a new phase in B.S.E.S. In God we trust.
